Directions of Use
Daily dosage: Take 1 tablet daily. If needed, up to 2 tablets may be taken.
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
How to Take a Buccal Tablet
- Preparation
Lightly moisten the inside of both cheeks with your tongue or by rinsing with water. This is important if you have recently consumed acidic food or drinks. - Place the tablet
Moisten the tablet briefly on your tongue, then position it between your cheek and your teeth. - Allow it to dissolve
The tablet will typically dissolve within 1–2 hours. It may take longer if you have low saliva secretion or a dry mouth. - Assist dissolution if needed
You may occasionally moisten the tablet on your tongue for a few seconds and gently move it from one cheek to the other. - Do not chew or swallow
Chewing or swallowing the tablet will reduce its effectiveness. - Avoid acidic foods and drinks
While the tablet is dissolving, avoid acidic items as they may cause an unpleasant taste. - Timing with meals and drinks
You can take the tablet at any time of day. To ensure complete dissolution, wait at least 90–120 minutes before eating or drinking, except for small amounts of water or milk.
